Panaji: Under the banner of the “Cyber Surakshit Goen” campaign, a four-day Cyber Crime awareness session was concluded for all Goa high school computer teachers. The session, conducted at SCERT, Porvorim, in collaboration with the Department of Education, aimed to educate computer teachers about cyber crimes.
A total of around 450 high school computer teachers attended this training over the last four days. The overwhelming response from these teachers is expected to have a far-reaching impact, as they will educate about 35,000 to 40,000 students across Goa, as well as the wider society, about the dangers of cyber crimes.
The ultimate goal of this training was to raise awareness about the latest trends in cyber crimes and the necessary measures to avoid falling prey to such crimes.
The cyber training was conducted with the support of Shri Govind Parvatkar, Chairman of GEDC, Smt. Meghana Shetgaonkar, Director of SCERT, and Shri Govind Raj Desai, Training Coordinator of SCERT, Porvorim.
Additionally, the initiative plans to train approximately 167 Cyber Volunteers, who will help further spread cyber awareness across the state.
