Swami Ramdev hails Goa’s initiative to promote Dekho Apna Desh

Panaji:  Yog Guru Swami Ramdev has appealed Goa Tourism department to introduce yoga and meditation to the people visiting the coastal state.

 

Goa Tourism Minister Rohan Khaunte on Wednesday met Ramdev at Haridwar as a part of the initiative taken by Goa and Uttarakhand government to carry forward “Dekho Apna Desh” program of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

 

The state tourism department, after the meeting between Khaunte and Swami Ramdev, has released the video in which the latter has said that the Memorandum of understanding between Goa and Uttarakhand will go a long way to give recognition to both the states at the international level.

 

He said that the current century is of “science and spirituality.” “India’s softpower is the spirituality practiced in the country for centuries,” he said.

 

Ramdev suggested that Goa Tourism department can ensure that the hotels have one room dedicated to Yoga and meditation so that the tourists does not only enjoy but also find peace during their stay here.

 

He said that the tourism department can also create space for youga, wellness and panchkarma . Ramdev also suggested that Patanjali Yog Peeth can start its wellness centre providing 500 different kind of therapies to the people in Goa.

 

“The world is going through stress and anxiety. Yoga and Meditation is a solution over these problems,” Ramedev said.

 

Goa and Uttarakhand government have signed a Memorandum of understanding in the tourism sector to promote wellness tourism.
