Super speciality block to be inaugurated within six months: Vishwajit Rane

Panaji: Goa will inaugurate the largest super-speciality block constructed under Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojana (PMSSY) within next six months, state health minister Vishwajit Rane said on Monday.

Rane said that the state will invite Prime Minister Narendra Modi to inaugurate the super speciality facility which is coming at Bambolim village near existing Goa Medical College and Hospital complex.

The health minister tweeted “my dream projet for the state of Goa – Super Speciality Block. I am fortunate to be a health minister of Goa under the BJP government and for being able to take further, the vision of our Prime Minister Narendra Modi in providing quality healthcare to all citizens.”

In a series of tweets, he tweeted further “I am very pleased to have been able to implement his vision under the Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojana that has made this dream project a reality for every Goan at the cost of Rs 450 crores.”

“I started this project when I took over as the Health minister of the state and today, it is nearing completion. Within the next six months, we will be commissioning this hospital with an unique Public-Private Partnership approved by the NITI ayog and the Government of India,” he said.

In yet another tweet, he said “I am looking forward to inaugurating the largest super speciality hospital of the country under PMSSY at the hands of our Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi ji and with the support of our chief minister @DrPramodPSawant.”
