Aam Aadmi Party has came strongly condemned the statement made by CM Pramod Sawant about patients reaching late at the Hospital and Goans should not hide symptoms.
Aap spokesperson Rahul Mhambre said, “Pramod bab wants to hide failure of his Govt by blaming innocent Goans, if Ambulance services to ferry patients don’t exist thus making them late is it intentional from the patients? If people are not getting tested in time it is intentional or lack of testing facilities?”
CM is stressing on more testing and deaths increasing due to late admission in hospital. However, the testing capacity of Goa is still what it was two months back. Even worse it goes down by 50% on weekends. Is this because Pramod Sawant thinks Corona gets a holiday on weekends?
Moreover, primary health centers are still telling people not to get tested even if a family member is positive and rest are asymptomatic. Is this intentional by Goans or a failure by the Sawant Sarkar?
AAP has already asked Health minister Vishwajit Rane to tell people about the arrangements being made to deal with the Covid. Goans are not aware about whom to approach and how to approach? Emergency help lines are non functional, people have to wait for 10 hrs to get an Ambulance service. Why doesn’t CM Sawant ask Health Minister Rane to provide details of Ambulances available area wise?
AAP has been demanding to publish the Hospital bed status on real time basis or atleast in daily Health bulletin for Goans for months now. Atleast empower Goans to make informed decisions in case of emergency? Why has nothing been done so far Mr Sawant?
With test numbers stagnating & Covid cases rising, any person with basic mathematical skills can tell you that the Covid infection is increasing drastically.
AAP has asked to increase the testing to 5000 per day, no action has been taken yet on this.
Pramod Bab, you said Goans should not hide symptoms, tell us what have you done to increase testing facility?
Criticising the rates fixed by the Govt for Covid facility in a private hospital Rahul Mhambre said, “How do you expect a common Goan to get himself treated at such a high price, Goans are struggling to meet their daily needs and these rates for hospital beds in private hospitals shows that the Sawant Sarkar’s intent is to loot common Goans. The Govt has absolutely no interest to stand with Goans in these difficult times.”
Goans are suffering financially, suffering in health and have even been forced to sleep on the floor of GMC. Yet the Sawant Sarkar and their Health Minister Vishwajit Rane continue to save face by blaming Goans. They are testing the patience of every Goan who has till now stood by the Govt.
