Sankhalim: The heat is on for the upcoming Sankhalim Municipal Council elections scheduled on Sunday. Dharmesh Saglani who is contesting through an independent panel has accused Speaker Pramod Sawant of violating code of conduct by campaining even after 5 p.m. on Friday.

Saglani who addressed a press conference presented the video clip which shows Sawant campaigning near Sankhalim Bus Stand. A man, who shot the video, has been identified as Saglani.

“I questioned him how he can violate the code of conduct and he challenged me to file a complaint,” he said. Saglani has questioned whether the law is only for the people who are not in the ruling camp and those who are in the ruling will be left scot-free.
