Porvorim: In a series of tweets, Independent MLA Rohan Khaunte has expressed concerns over increasing percolation of COVID-19 into the state’s rural and susceptible areas.
Khaunte tweeted “For the last 80 days, when we were in Green Zone, I have tried my best to suggest ways for the Govt to constructively battle COVID19. Commission transmission has taken root in multiple places in Goa and people have lost all faith in the @DrPramodPSawant govt.
“I have written to the Hon’ble @PMOIndia about the incapabilities of the state govt and requested his urgent intervention in this matter. @narendramodi ji needs to act fast. Need of the hour is to provide a strong leadership to the state or impose Governor’s rule in the state.”
“SoPs are scaring people instead of helping them, people have already taken laws into their own hands by shutting down individual villages and market complexes.”
“The way Corona is spreading in thickly populated areas like Mangor, Chimbel and Ramnagar, we need active political leadership and not someone who is studying matters and playing with definitions.”
