Dona Paula: The health conditions of Union AYUSH minister Shripad Naik, who is admitted at Manipal Hospital, Dona Paula, after testing positive for COVID-19 infection, are recovering steadily with “stable vitals” and “good respiratory efforts,” a senior health official said.
Naik was admitted to a private hospital near here on August 12 after he was tested positive for COVID-19 infection.
A senior health department official said that Naik is having a “steady recovery with stable vitals and good respiratory efforts.”
He said that the RTPCR test conducted on him on August 28 (Friday) has come positive, detecting COVID-19 virus in his body. “The test will be repeated, once again, after 48 hours,” he said.
“Overall, Naik is making very good progress,” he said.
The team of All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) and Armed Force’s Command Hospital had come to Goa this week, to check the requirement of shifting him to Delhi.
The team had expressed satisfaction over the treatment given to Naik at Manipal Hospital.
