Valpoi: Villagers from Brahma Karmali village of Nagargao Panchayat fallen victim to Gastro cases like diarrhoea and vomiting. Villagers are taking treatment at Community Health Centre (CHC) Valpoi and Private clinics.
Medical Officer Incharge of CHC Valpoi Dr Shyam Kankonkar confirmed the news and said that patients with complains of Diarrhoea and vomiting have reported to CHC Valpoi and private clinics.
“As soon as we received information about this cases I dispatched my medical team who visited the village and did surveillance of the disease. During surveillance we didn’t found any active cases but got to know that since last three days there were lots of villagers who had similar symptoms,” Dr Kankonkar said.
Dr Kankonkar informed that water samples have been collected from all three source like stream, spring and tap water from where villagers used to consume water, and will also test their stool who had symptoms.
Presently we are not receiving any complaints from this village and we will have advocacy program in village, he added.
