Schools directed to discourage kids from using Tik Tok and PUBG

Panaji: In an circular issued to all the schools, the department of education has asked them as well as the parents and guardians to ensure that children do not download and use apps like Tik Tok and PUBG game.

Director Education Nagaraj Honnekeri has asked schools to call for a meeting of parents teachers association (PTAs) to create necessary awareness amongst parents and students.

The directions are issued following recommendation from the Goa State Commission for Protection of Child Rights.

“The awareness needs to be created amongst the parents, guardians and the children in order not to download or use ‘Tik Tok’ app and PUBG game,” the circular stated.

“Both the apps and games creates the issue of safety and security of children in the State of Goa,” the department mentioned further.

“The action in time may be of great help in saving some lives,” it added.
