Sankhalim: As the country celebrates Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, JCI Sanquelim have also added to the fervour of patriotism through its various online competitions aptly titled as “Parakram.”
JCI Sanquelim team led by President Shaba Gauns has launched various competitions to encourage the talents like danging, singing, photography, art, elocution, rapping,Insta Reels and poetry.
Since launch of the competition, the JCI Sanquelim has been getting tremendously good response.
The last date of entry for these competition is August 25, 2021. These events are strictly held online.
TANDAV
Giving details about the competitions, Gauns said the Dance competition titled ‘Tandav’ will be held in two categories – first between 5-15 years and second for above 15 years. The Entry will have to be solo with language having no bar while theme for event is Bollywood. The participants are expected to send 3 minutes raw unedited videos; only one video with 15-30 second long introduction at the beginning. Props and costumes are allowed in the video. Th event would be judged on the criteria of 50 per cent likes and 50 per cent by jury’s opinion.
SWARANJALI
The singing competition to be held in two categories – 5-15 years and 15 and above.
The entry will be single, language will be no bar, Theme for the event is patriotism, time limit is three minutes, raw unedited videos of the participants have to be sent. Only one video should be submitted. There should be 15-30 seconds of introduction at the beginning of the video. Usage of instruments and karaoke are allowed. The event would be judged in the criteria of 50 per cent likes and rest by judges opinion.
DRISHYAM
This competition is about mobile photography. It will be held in two categoeis – 5-15 years and 15 and above.
The entry for the event would be single. Theme for it would be “Monsoon In India”. The raw unedited photos should be sent in JPEG format. The final output should have watermark mentioning the (DATE/TIME/MOBILE USED). The photographs should convey the message. The event would be judged on the criteria 50 per cent likes and 50 per cent by jury.
CHITRAKRIYA
This is the competition of painting which will be held in three categories – Category one up to 5th standard and second between 6 to 10th standard and third would be for Adults. The entry would be solo. Theme for the event is “Open Theme” but the message should be conveyed through the painting. The painting can be drawn on any paper including A4/A3/LEGAL.
The paints to be used are CATEGORY I – Crayons CATEGORY II & III – ACRYLIC/POSTER. The event would be judged on the criteria of 50 per cent likes and 50 per cent judging.
VAKK
This is an elocution competition which would be held in two caterogies – 5-15 years and 15 years and above. The event is solo.
The theme for the event is:
Category I – If I had super powers during pandemic. Category II: What according to you is nationalism.
Time Duration : 2 Minutes RAW, UNEDITED VIDEOS Speaker is Not Allowed to Use Paper or Prompter Languages : Konkani, Hindi, Marathi, English Vulgarity is Banned Jury ‘ s Decision Will Be Final
SHABDABAN
This is a competition of rapping.
Age criteria is above 18 years.
