Saligao: Residents of Saligao led by local MLA Jayesh Salgaonkar will be holding a public meeting on October 12 at 5.30 to oppose expansion of the garbage treatment plant.

The people are apparently upset after Waste Management Minister Michael Lobo made a statement that even if people from Saligao sit on hill top, no one would listen to them.

The message that is being circulated informing about the public meeting reads: “It’s now or never.. If you Care for Saligao”

“Forget about politics, religious or your ego diffences …stand up for Saligao.

If our generation does not unite and fight for this mess this village will become a rotten, contaminated garbage dump of Goa..either wake up now or be ready to leave this village in few more years !!!”

Come for the garbage meeting on Saturday 12th at 5.30 pm at Saligao Panchayat compound in large numbers to oppose this proposed expansion of the plant..and installation of Plastic Burning Incinerators at Saligao Garbage Treatment Plant
