Panaji: As Union Minister Prakash Javdekar failed to respond in ten-days time on Mhadei issue, Independent MLA Rohan Khaunte reiterated the need to seek Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s intervention in the matter.

In series of tweets, Khaunte also said that Pramod Sawant led government has no powers to fight and hence cannot be trusted of preserving Goenkarponn.

“Isn’t Mhadei an urgent issue to meet @PMOIndia and seek his intervention? Either Mhadei is not significant for @DrPramodSawant or is he not significant for the Central Leadership?,” Porvorim MLA tweeted.

“The matter of #MhadeiRiver impacts every single Goenkar and this lethargic approach by State government only shows how the current leadership has no power and cannot be trusted to preserve Goenkarponn,” he tweeted further.

“The silence and powerlessness of Chief Minister has left Goenkars feeling betrayed once again. 13 days have passed since the EC issuance/tweet and no results. All party meet with @PrakashJavdekar was an utter waste of time and has made Goans look like fools,” Khaunte tweeted further.
