Panaji: Goa’s minister Nilesh Cabral in his resignation on Sunday said that he has been resigning to allow the party to fulfill their commitments previously made.
Cabral on Sunday resigned from Pramod Sawant led cabinet to make way for induction of his party colleague and ex-Congress leader Aleixo Sequeira.
In his resignation to the chief minister, Cabral has said that he is resigning from the esteemed position of minister in the department of PWD, Environment, Legislative Affairs, Law and Judiciary with heavy heart.
“As requested by you and the senior members of the party, due to commitments you have previously made, I tender my resignation from your cabinet of ministers,” the resignation reads.
It further says “I am immensely grateful for the invaluable opportunities and support provided to me during my tenure in serving the people of this beautiful state.”
“Please accept this letter as a formal notification of my resignation. I wish you and the administration continued success in your endeavours to lead Goa towards prosperity and progress,” he said.
