Margao: The work on remediation and disposal of unsegregated garbage at Sonsodo would begin from December 12.
State Waste Management Minister Michael Lobo in presence of Leader of Opposition Digambar Kamat, Fatorda MLA Vijai Sardesai and others will launch the work.
Goa Waste Management Corporation Limited has tendered the work of remediation and disposal of the garbage at Sonsodo to Hindustan Waste Treatment Private Limited, Lobo said.
He said that initially two screening plants would be installed at the site and subsequently two more would be added to it.
The process of remediation will be completed within 24 months.
