Panaji: Hundreds of youth in Goa participated in “Nasha Mukt Yuva for Viksit Bharat Sankalp Abhiyan” , an initiative of PM Narendra Modi on Sunday.
The initiative was taken by State Minister Vishwajit Rane in his Valpoi constituency where the event was organised at Valpoi and Usgao towns in North Goa.
More than 500 youths at each of the venue participated in this program which began with the viewing of the speech by PM Narendra Modi, professing Nasha Mukt Yuva.
Rane said that the launch of the Nasha Mukt Yuva for Viksit Bharat Sankalp Abhiyan by PM Modi marks the beginning of a transformative ‘Jan Bhagidari’ movement.
“The message was clear – a Viksit Bharat can only be built by a generation that is healthy in body, strong in mind, confident in spirit and free from the menace of drugs,” Rane said in his message on the occasion of the event.
He said that it was heartening to witness the enthusiastic participation of the people of Sattari, especially our youth, who came together this morning to join the programme digitally and reaffirm their commitment to this national resolve.
“As Honourable PM Ji rightly emphasised, drug abuse does not merely destroy an individual, it shatters dreams, breaks families, weakens society and ultimately hampers the progress of the nation,” Rane said.
The minister said that the 100-week nationwide Jan Bhagidari campaign is a powerful call for every citizen to become catalyst for change. “Through awareness, sports, culture, service, spirituality and community participation, we must inspire our young minds to choose purpose over addiction and ambition over distractions,” he added.
