Panaji: All Goa Private Bus Owners Association (AGPBOA) general secretary Sudeep Tamhankar came down heavily on the BJP ruled government alleging that government has forcibly stopped private bus owners business. He opined that from time to time the All Goa Private Bus Owners Association has tried meeting the Director of Transport but each time he locks himself in his office refusing to redress their grievances.
“As with each passing day the road tax and passenger tax gets increased the private bus owners who are unemployed are put in much difficult situations. Those who are dependent on bus business like mechanics and tire puncture shops are also put in harm’s way because they do not get any business,” Tamhankar said.
“Prime Minister Narendra Modi had declared Janta Curfew without making any arrangements, govt. should ask him for compensating those who suffered because of his haphazard decision,” said, Tamhankar. “If our issues are not addressed by the concerned authorities we wll approach the court,” Tamhankar warned while giving an ultimatum.
