Precautionary dose vaccination could not start in Goa on Sunday

Panaji: The vaccination of precautionary dose for the persons between 18 and 59 years of age could not start in Goa on Sunday due to technical reasons.

State Vaccinational Officer Dr Rajendra Borkar on Sunday told reporters that the precautionary dose could not be given through private vaccination centres due to technical reason.

The inoculation was supposed to begin from Sunday in Goa only through private facilities.

Borkar said that some of the private vaccination centres have not received the vaccines and also its staff is not trained for the purpose. He said that the issues would be solved within next two days after which the dose would be administered through private facilities in the state.

He said that individual will have to pay Rs 386 as a nominal fee to get this dose administered.
