Panaji : GPCC President Girish Chodankar said that Pratima Coutinho chose to feed her political greed instead of safeguarding congress party’s interest.
Pratima Coutinho the former Goa Pradesh Mahila Congress President who had contested from ZP Navelim by-polls left the Goa Congress party abruptly by resigning from her position. She had also alleged that Congress did not provide her adequate support during the campaigning. “I was asked many times to contest elections and I did it for the sake of the party. Although I lost I do not repent, the need of the party should always come first” said Chodankar.
Pratima’s sudden act of quitting congress has caught many congress office bearers as well as karyakartas off guard, “She should have consulted us before leaving” said Chodankar.
Chodankar aslo inferred that he is unbothered by Pratima Coutinho leaving unexpectedly “I am happy that new people are willing to join congress who come from different fields” asserted Chodankar.
