Panaji: The planned annual shutdown which was arranged at 220/110/33/11 KV, 250 MVA substation at Xeldem in South Goa on May 9, 2020 between 7.00 a.m. to 3.00 p.m. in order to attend the pre-monsoon maintenance works on 220 KV, 110 KV and 33 KV lines and the switchyard at Xeldem and also in the associated 33/11 KV substations feeding from Xeldem substation has been postponed on May 16, 2020 between 7.00 a.m. to 3.00 p.m. in view of Heat wave from May 8, 2020 to May 12, 2020.
Therefore entire Salcette area, Cuncolim, Balli, Benaulim, Velim, Carmona, Nessai, Cancona, Poinguinim, Rivona, Sanguem, Xelpem, Quepem, Assolda, Xeldem, Sanvordem, Shigao, Curchorem, Verna Industrial Estate and also to Salaulim water works at Xelpem during the period of Shutdown.
