Vasco: Police Constable and another minor boy has been arrested  for raping 17-year-old girl on two different occasions during this year, the latest being during last week.

Police Constable Siddharth Gosavi attached to the office of Deputy Superintendent of Police office in Vasco, was arrested today for raping 17-year-old minor girl at Ponda.

The incident happened on Thursday night when the26-year-old  constable under the pretext of dropping  her home in Vasco town took her to Ponda, where he raped her.

“The girl was raped during entire night and dropped back home next day. The mother of the girl has filed a formal complaint with the police against the constable,” he said.

The girl during her statement also revealed that she was physically abused during the last month by another boy, who is of her peer age. Police have also arrested the boy, who is a minor and has been sent to state run remand home.
