Panaji: Goa BJP unit today claimed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has assured to find solution to the State mining crisis in next two-three months.
Government delegation led by Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar and Members of Parliament on Tuesday met Prime Minister and Group of Ministers (GoM) chaired by Union Minister Nitin Gadkari and submitted the State Assembly resolution on resumption of mining.
Speaking to reporters today, BJP MLA Nilesh Cabral said that PM has shown keen interest in Goa’s mines and has promised to find solution in next two-three months.
He said that GoM is also convinced that Goa’s mining issue is little different and has assured to work out solution within legal framework. “They have zeroed down to a legislation change, which is required for mining resumption in Goa,” Cabral said.
