People above 60 yrs, persons between 45-59 with co morbidities to be vaccinated from March 01 onwards

Panaji: Goa government will inoculate all the persons above the age of 60 years and also those between 45-59 year only with  co morbidities from March 01 onwards.

State Immunisation Officer Dr Rajendra Borkar told reporters that the inoculation will happen at the government run hospitals in the state.

He said that the vaccination will begin from March 01 onwards wherein the beneficiaries will have to arrive at their nearest government hospital with their Adhar Card or any other government proof of identity.

Borkar said that the people in  45-59 age group will have to produce the certificate of their co morbidity from a registered medical practitioner on a prescribed format of the Government of India with their photo identity.

He said that the registration of both above age group beneficiaries will be done on the spot at the vaccination site on first come first serve basis on that particular day.

“Registration can also be done online on Covin portal once portal is open for the same,” Borkar said.

He said that the second dose for all due beneficiaries will be given at the same site where they received their first dose.

State has begun immunization of its Healthcare workers and Front like Covid warriors.
