Over 3,000 students appear for HSSC exam on Wednesday

Panaji: Over 3,000 students appeared for the Higher Secondary School Certificate Examination of Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education across the state on Wednesday.

The examinations of HSSC was cancelled mid-way in the state after COVID-19 outbreak in March.

“Total 3,823 students were eligible for appearing for the examination of HSSC today. All the norms of social distancing were abided during the conduct of examination,” Board Chairman Ramakrishna Samant said.

He said that the examination was hassle free and almost all the students appeared for the paper. The board had scheduled Marathi paper of HSSC for Wednesday, which was earlier supposed to be held on March 21, 2020.

The students after their arrival at examination hall were sanitized. As per the pictures released by State government, social distancing was maintained between the students, while they were mandated to wear the masks.
