NCB conducts series of raids in Goa, four arrested

Panaji: In a series of raids in Goa, the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) arrested four persons including a South African national for possessing narcotics in the coastal state.

As per the media statement issued here, NCB’s Goa Sub Zone arrested Nouman Savery (22) originally from Chhattisgarb on September 22 for illicit possession of drugs at Siolim beach village in North Goa.

After his arrest, the NCB during follow up investigation arrested Siddiq Ahmed (25) originally from Hyderabad on September 23 for partnering with Savery.

Both were remanded to Judicial Custody, the media statement said.

Continuing their raids, the NCB on September 24 seized small quantity of Charas from the house of Demetriades Agisilaos, a South African national who was living at Pernem in North Goa.

The accused was sent to Judicial custody.

Agisilaos had earlier been arrested in two more cases of NCB, Mumbai in the year 2020 and 2021.

In yet another raid, the NCB Mumbai and Goa Sub Zone seized intermediate quantity of MDMA/Ecstasy pills at Nagoa village in North Goa on September 24 arresting Mumbai origin youth Mayur Mohnani, who was also sent to Judicial custody.
