Porvorim, June 6, 2026: In recognition of academic achievement and youth excellence, Hon’ble Minister for Tourism, IT, Electronics & Communications and MLA of Porvorim Constituency, Shri Rohan A. Khaunte, today felicitated several meritorious students from the constituency who successfully completed their SSC, HSSC and Graduate examinations for the academic year 2025-26.
The felicitation ceremony was held at the newly inaugurated Porvorim Gymkhana, along with ZP member Amit Asnodkar, Sarpanch Socorro Sonia Pednekar & Sarpanch Penha de França Swapnil Chodankar, Porvorim BJP Mandal President Vinit Parab and panch members of Salvador do Mundo, Penha de França and Socoroo panchayat.
Addressing the gathering of young students and their proud parents, Shri Rohan A. Khaunte congratulated the students and their families for their dedication, perseverance and commitment towards excellence in education. He said: “Today’s students are tomorrow’s leaders, innovators, entrepreneurs and change-makers – for Goa and for India as whole. It is our responsibility to nurture their dreams, their aspirations and, provide them with opportunities to succeed in life. This felicitation is a recognition of their hard work and a motivation for them to pursue even greater heights.”
The event also featured an inspiring keynote address by renowned voice artist, motivational speaker and Bigg Boss fame personality Vijay Vikram Singh, who shared valuable insights on personal growth, determination and the importance of pursuing one’s dreams with confidence and discipline.
The felicitation programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, parents, educators and community leaders, reflecting the constituency’s collective commitment towards promoting education and celebrating academic accomplishments.
