Meeting held by SDPO Mapusa in eve of Ganesh Chaturthi

A Meeting was held with all the Sarvajanik Ganesh Mandal committee members of Mapusa Police Sub Division.

SDPO Mapusa, Shri Jivba G. Dalvi informed that taking into consideration, security point of view during forthcoming Ganesh Festival which is from 19th September, a briefing was organized to all the members of all the Sarvajanik Ganesh Mandal committee members of Mapusa Sub Division.

As per SDPO Mapusa in Mapusa Police Station jurisdiction there are 11 Sarvajanik Ganesh Mandals, in Anjuna Police Station jurisdiction there are 04 Sarvajanik Ganesh mandals and in Colvale Police Station jurisdiction, there are 05 Sarvajanik Ganesh Mandals.

Most of the representatives of Sarvajanik Ganesh Mandals attended the said briefing. They were requested to have access control by keeping minimum 01- 03 exist points. Further requested to install CCTV Cameras at the Sarvajanik Ganesh Mandals along with monitoring system to monitor the movement of visitor visiting the Sarvajanik Ganesh Mandals.

They were also requested to arrange the volunteers who will be deployed round a clock for identification and list of the volunteers shall be given to Local Police Stations in advance. They were advised to illuminate surrounding area of the venue, so also requested not to burst crackers late night and early morning. Also requested to arrange fire extinguisher at the Sarvajanik Ganesh Mandals to prevent fire incidents.

Organizers also requested to deploy Police staff at Sarvajanik Ganesh Mandals which was agreed by the Police. SDPO Mapusa Shri Jivba G. Dalvi informed that Police staff will be deployed at each and every Saravajanik Ganesh Mandals of Mapusa Sub Division.

Further SDPO Mapusa informed that the people leaving to their native place should keep their valuable thing in the bank locker & inform beat staff regarding their visit to their native place, so that patrolling can be maintain near their houses which will be remain closed during their visit to their native place.

Also during Ganesh Immersion, all the representatives of Sarvajanik Ganesh Mandals were advised not to obstruct vehicular traffic, and avoid bursting of crackers in public. Police will be deployed at the immersion points to ensure safe immersion.

PI Mapusa Police Station Shri Shitakant Nayak, PI Anjuna Police Station Shri Prashal Dessai and PI Colvale Police Station Shri Vijay Rane attended the meeting.
