SDPO Mapuca jivba Dalvi informed that Mapuca police arrested one Majid Khan for his involvement in outraging the modesty of Minor girl .
That on 02.09.2023 Father of victim girl R/o Bardez ,Goa lodged complaint that on 02.09.2023 at 20.20 hrs at Near Alankar Theater , Mapusa , Bardez, Goa one unknown Male touched the Minor girl in appropriately in an open public place and accused flee away from the spot .
Taking serious note of the same Immediately offence U/Sec 354 IPC , Sec 8 of Goa Children’s Act and Sec 8 of POCSO Act was registered.
Further, there was no any clue towards the identify of accused. Accordingly SDPO Jivba Dalvi constituted two different teams with instructions to collect the intelligence in respect of accused involved under leadership of Pi Sitakant Nayak consisting of PSI Yashwant Mandrekar , LPSI Rupali Govekar , HC Sushant Chopdekar , HC Shivaji Shetkar , PC Prakash Polekar , Akshay Patil , Anand Rathod Ankesh Dabhale.
The staff moved in and around the locality and collected CCTV footages from different spots and were thoroughly scrutinized and perused.
Further, team after thorough human and technical surveillance identified the accused and staff zero down and successfully arrested accused at Calangute , Bardez, who is identified as Majid Khan S/o Abdul Latif Khan , aged 20 years R/o Bastora , Bardez ,Goa N/o Rajasthan .
Further investigation are in progress under supervision of SP north Nidhin Valsan IPS ,SDPO Mapuca jivba Dalvi and pi Shitakant Nayak.
