Panaji: Goa Police on Sunday arrested a man for murdering uncle of his ex-wife at calangute beach village.
Calangute police stated that they have arrested Nitin Gadekar (38) for murdering his ex-wife’s uncle Joseph Fernandes (57) during wee hours of Sunday by entering their restaurant at Calangute.
Police said that the accused also assaulted his ex-wife Elizabeth Fernandes (31) during the scuffle.
As per the complaint filed by Elizabeth, the accused entered the restaurant at around 1.45 am on Sunday and assaulted her before attacking her uncle.
The accused banged head of the deceased several times on the RCC slab due to which he suffered severe bleeding injuries.
Police said that the victim died while on the way to Goa Medical College and Hospital.
