Panaji: Goa Chief Minister designate Pramod Sawant on Friday criticised his Delhi counterpart, Arvind Kejriwal over his statements on the movie “Kashmir Files” in Delhi Assembly.
Kejriwal had appealed to the filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri to post the entire film on youtube rather than asking the state governments to make it ‘tax free’.
Reacting to Kejriwal’s speech, Sawant tweeted “While Kejriwal’s Govt in the past waived of tax for several Bollywood films, he refuses to do the same on #KashmirFiles and goes a step ahead by mocking and laughing at the film which brings to light the Kashmiri Hindu Genocide.”
“Kejriwal’s statement is inhumane and an insult to those who faced the atrocities at the hands of terrorists in Kashmir,” Sawant said in a subsequent tweet.
Last week, after watching the movie, Sawant had announced that the movie would be made tax free in the coastal state.
