Porvorim: After standing behind the mining dependents, Goa Forward Party  President Vijai Sardesai has said that the job of convincing the powers in Delhi on mining issue lies with the BJP. “Goa forward party has made our stand that we want early and quick resumption of mining and for this purpose if required an ordinance should be passed and government should be firm that its resolve is to restart the economic activity,” Sardesai said.

“I personally feel that the job of convincing the powers in delhi lies with our senior partners in alliance government because of which we are better placed as they are also in power in centre,” Sardesai said referring to the BJP.

“Our party has made its presence at the candle light march of goa mining affected people. Our party’s official presence was there. And we are completely in letter and spirit with the mining affected people,” he added.
