Valpoi: In a bid to train girls to face any physical attacks, JCI Sanquelim conducted a self-defence techniques training for the girl students at Government Higher Secondary School, Valpoi.
The training was conducted on October 09 by Jr JC Vidhiti Pednekar and Lakshata Naik in presence of President of JCI Sanquelim JC Shaba Gauns.
Principal of Government Higher Secondary School Mr Riyaz Jamadar and NSS in-charge Mrs Leena Pednekar were also present on the occasion.
More than 30 girls participated in the training session, which taught them how to defend from any physical attacks on them.
“Such kind of training is essential for girls considering the attacks that they might face in the future. It also keeps them alert and physical fit,” Gauns said.
He said that the initiative has been taken by JCI Sanquelim as a part of its social outreach program.
