Margao: The Agritech startup has begun to reach out. Today they visited the Govt. Agricultural Farm at Kalay, Sanguem. A site visit was done. The staff of the farm Ms Milan Gaonkar(Suprintendent) and Mr Nilesh Khanvilkar, said that the main problem was weeds growing uncontrollably. Ulavan agritech has proposed to use their precision spraying drone to spray weedicides in the affected areas. The drone will be both time efficient and cost efficient, while being a safer alternative as no labour will have to step into the dense weed cover.
Engineers of Ulavan, Mr Akshay Saraf and Mr Aditya Parab took this opportunity to demonstrate other uses of drones for the farm such as surveillance and mapping.
