Sanquelim: JCI Sanquelim in association with BJP Goa Medical Cell had organised two-day-long Mega Health Camp at Ravindra Bhavan, Sanquelim on June 25-26.
Chief Minister Pramod Sawant inaugurated the camp on Saturday which received overwhelming response from the people, with more than 250 sittings reported during the event.
While inaugurating the camp, Sawant appreciated the efforts of JCI Sanquelim and BJP Goa Medical Cell for holding a medical camp of such a magnitude.
He appealed people to have regular health check ups, especially for those who have crossed the age of 40 years. Sawant said that like we consider kundali during marriage, one should yearly check ‘Health Kundali’ after you are in the 40s.
The chief minister assured all the help for the organizers in their social service initiatives.
Dr Tejas Kamat from Diabetic Care, Co-convener of BJP Goa Medical Cell Dr Sneha Bhagwat, Zone Vice President of JCI Adv Mamta Naik were present as guests for inaugural function. JCI Sanquelim President Chetan Salelkar and secretary of JCI Sanquelim Nikita Desai were also present on the dais.
Dr Bhagwat expressed satisfaction over the conduct of the Mega Camp, while asserting that JCI Sanquelim and Goa BJP Medical Cell will collaborate in future for more such activities to benefit the society.
On the second day, BJP leader Sulakshna Sawant was the chief guest for the function which was organised to felicitate doctors from Sanquelim.
BJP Goa Medical Cell Convener Dr Shekar Salkar, JCI Zone XI President Sen Eeshan Usapkar, JCI Sanquelim President Chetan Salelkar, Past President Rita D’Sa were present on the dais.
Addressing the gathering, Sawant said that such an initiative are welcome step for the societal benefit. She also lauded the doctors who were felicitated on the occasion.
She said that NGO Padmini Foundation which she has been mentoring will be eager to get associated with the JCI Sanquelim.
Dr Salkar said that the NGOs should come forward and take ahead the social schemes launched by the government towards the all strata of society.
Usapkar congratulated local team of JCI Sanquelim for conducting such a camp where all the kind of facilities were made available.
On this occasion, Dr.Pradeep Padwal , Dr.Vinayak Karpe, Dr.Sayeesh Madkaikar ,Dr.Mamta Karpe ,Dr.Dattaraj Budkule , Dr.Neha Budkule ,Dr Anu Budkule, Dr.Kalpita Pordar, Dr.Shambhavi Gadgil ,Dr. Ranjita Naik,Dr.Datta Desai ,Dr. Akshata Madkaikar,Dr.Pooja Ghadi , Dr.Satyajeet Gawde ,Dr Pawan Kumar ,Dr.Sherlin Rodrigues were felicitated for their contribution towards society.
The Community Health Centre, Sanquelim, Manipal Hospital, Dona Paula coordinated by Jones Samuel, Easy Vision and Mukta Optician, both the ventures dealing in ophthalmology, Diabetic Care led by Dr Tejas Kamat, Dental Consultation by – Dr Pooja Ghadi & Dr.Satyajeet Gawde, Ayurveda Consultant -Dr Jyoti Sawant, Homeopathy Consultant – Dr Akshata Madkaikar participated in the camp.
This entire project of JCI Sanquelim was headed by project director JC Rajat Naik and Coordinator JC Tejas Kini.
