Panaji : The Goa Pradesh Mahila Congress (GPMC) under the leadership of President Adv Pratima Coutinho submitted a memorandum to after protesting for long outside Women’s Comission on Friday. “We we’re given appointment with the chairperson of Women’s commission but we are being denied entry by the police,” said Coutinho. After a vigorous scuffle between the Goa Police and Mahila Congress, Coutinho along with mahilas were allowed to meet the Chairperson.
GPMC submitted the memorandum seeking for a strict action against a police officer Ekoskar who allegedly stomped on a lady protestor in Melaulim IIT issue. Adv Pratima Coutinho also inferred that the BJP Mahila Morcha should take moral responsibility of what has happened in IIT Shel-Melaulim Protest.
Chairperson of Women’s Commission Vidya Gaude said she will study the matter in detal and take necessar action against the wrongdoes from end.
