Panaji: Leader of Opposition on Wednesday condemned the attack by the police amid the ongoing scuffle between Shel-Melauli villagers and the police deployed for the demarcation of land of the proposed IIT project.
Kamat also slammed the government and said that the act reflects the ‘dictatorship’ of BJP government. He also inferred that the government won’t succeed in forcing the people against any project
“Brutal lathi charge and use of Teargas on Shel Melauli Villagers once again reflects Dictatorship of @BJP4Goa Government. I strongly condemn high handedness of the Police Force and other government Authorities. Government will never succeed in forcing any project against peoples wish,” Kamat wrote in a tweet.
