Panaji: The rift between CCP Mayor Uday Madkaikar and Commissioner Shashank Mani Tripathy has widened further with the former announcing that he won’t be able assure that there will not be flooding in Panaji city during upcoming monsoon season.
Addressing a press conference, Madkaikar accused the Commissioner of not providing the adequate number of workers to take up the work of pre-monsoon preparedness.
Madkaikar said that he had plans to take up monsoon preparedness work on priority but his intention was sabotaged by the Commissioner.
“I will not be able to assure you that there will not be floodings in Panaji this time. Commissioner should be held responsible for the mess in the city,” he said.
