Panaji: The division bench of Bombay High Court at Goa has issued notice to the Boshan Classic project of Boshan Developers at Bodgeshwar, Mapusa, in view of violation of several norms relating to required environmental infrastructure.

The notice is been issued on a public interest litigation (PIL) filed  by the Goa Foundation, the Bodgeshwar Shetkari Sangh and the Camarkhazan Tenants Association challenging the grant of occupancy certificate to the project.

the petition is filed in public interest in view of the possible completion and use of the Boshan Classic – a major new commercial building still under construction at Bodgeshwar– without having a Sewage Treatment Plant (STP), required road access, adequate parking and waste management facilities, mandated by law.

Further, the Goa State Pollution Control Board (GSPCB) has not granted a Consent to Establish for this project.
