Panaji: Health Minister Vishwajit Rane today said that government is in process of sending its team to Gujarat to study its hybrid model of health insurance scheme, under which a of the payment is made through insurance and the rest through trusts.
Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar today morning chaired a review meeting on the Deen Dayal Sawasthya Seva Yojana (DDSSY) and it has been decided to continue till August end through an existing agency TPA.
The contract with the insurance company providing services under the scheme cane to an end on May 31.
Rane said Gujarat has the best model adopted called the hybrid, where a part of the payment will be made through insurance and the rest through trusts.
Rane said that during his recent participation in the national conclave of health ministers on medical insurance, he had detail discussion with Nitinbhai Patel on the scheme.
