Goa to inoculate 25,000 people with COVID-19 vaccine on PM’s Birthday

Panaji: Goa government targets to vaccinate 25,000 people with COVID-19 jab on Friday to mark the Birthday of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Chief Minister Pramod Sawant said.
Sawant told a gathering organised to distribute free wheelchairs to differently abled students that different programmes have been organised to mark the Birthday of the Prime Minister which also includes covering at least 25,000 people with the COVID-19 vaccination dose. “We are getting huge response for the vaccination program and I am sure, we will achieve the target,” the chief minister said.
Sawant also said that the state government will ensure that not a single differently abled person is left without COVID-19 vaccine. He said that special camps for differently abled persons would be held in October to complete the target.
On the occasion of the Birthday, Sawant also launched ‘Swatcch Bharat Mission Gramin’ in the state. The inaugural function was held at Latambarcem panchayat in Bicholim Assembly constituency of North Goa.
