The Goa State Innovation Council has designed highly effective and low-cost f4 face shields using 3D-Printing technology. The self-fitting face shields have been designed in collaboration with Dr. K. B. Hedgewar School’s Atal Tinkering Lab and offer a much more economical and convenient solution compared to conventional face masks.
These f4 face shields feature an ergonomic design and are extremely lightweight so that one can wear them for hours without any inconvenience. For individuals engaged in essential services, such as conservancy workers, healthcare practitioners, etc., this low-cost, re-usable mask that can be sterilised at home, provides an effective shield against corona virus.
The Council has recently provided a batch of f4 face shields to the Goa Waste Management Corporation.
