Margao: The General Secretary of Goa Forward Party Durgadas Kamat has complained with Election Commission against Fatorda Constituency BJP leader Damu Naik for violation COVID norms while doing door to door campaign.
The incident occurred on Thursday at 6.30 pm at Amrutnagar ward no 6 of Fatorda constituency. The complaint states that around 20 people were moving with Damu Naik.
Kamat has sought action against Damu Naik and has attached video link as evidence. “In spite of calling several times to the flying squad, they turned up late. We don’t understand whether officials of the flying squad are in hand in gloves with the ruling government.” Kamat questioned.
He said that it is clear violation of the rules and guidelines set by the election commission of India. “Police May be directed to register FIR against Damodar ( Damu) Naik under disaster management act and also warning should be issued. If this is not done other political parties will also start doing the same.” He warned.
