Panaji: Commenting on the recent anti slaughter Bill passed by the Karnataka Assembly concerning the ban on slaughter of cattle, Vijai Sardesai in a press conference Criticised the move saying “The staple food of all communities should be respected the govt can ban beef all over India but they will not be able to ban in Goa.”
Vjai Sardesai also inferred that Goa forward in 2017 had stopped the Goa Govt from adopting a Uttar Pradesh Model by Yogi Adityanath. “Since beef is banned in Karnataka, Goa will be hit because a lot of beef supply comes from Karnataka. This year for Christmas there will be no beef on the platter” Said Sardesai. Vijai Sardesai also reckoned that BJP is anti-minority as even for ZP elections they have not represented the minority community adequately. “BJP’s Slogan ‘Sab Ka Saath Sab Ka Vikas’ is ironic as they are in the forefront to play divide and rule politics.” said Sardesai.
