Panaji: Congress party has disbanded its Goa unit Media and Communication wing, apparently after its chief Trajano D’Mello accused two of party’s senior leaders with disloyalty.

D’Mello had held a press conference at Fatorda, last week, accusing Leader of Opposition Digambar Kamat of planning to join BJP, and had also said that Curtorim MLA Aleixo Reginaldo Lourenco would not contest on Congress ticket next time.

As per the report in Times Of India, All India Congress Committee has taken the decision to disband the wing, which was conveyed to GPCC President Girish Chodankar.

D’Mello was upset after Kamat and Lourenco forged an alliance with Goa Forward Party for Margao Municipal Council election.
