Panaji: Goa chief minister Pramod Sawant on Friday met Union Minister for Environment, Forests and Climate change Bhupender Yadav in New Delhi to discuss various issues related to the coastal state.
Sawant along with the other cabinet members including State Environment minister Aleixo Sequeira is in Delhi, during which they met Yadav.
In a media statement released here Sawant said the agenda of the meeting encompassed discussions pertaining to several crucial matters including regulation of Sand Mining activities, the draft notification concerning the Western Ghats, and rectifications to Coastal Zone Management Plan, 2011.
“I thank Hon’ble Minister Shri Bhupendra Yadav ji his for his wholehearted support in jointly addressing issues pertaining to development and progress of Goa,” he said.
