Panaji: Chief Minister Pramod Sawant on Monday expressed condolences over death of former President Pranab Mukherjee.
“On behalf of the state, I pay homage to the departed soul. His dedication in social and political life is remarkable,” he said.
“His contribution to the country would be remembered forever,” he said.
Meanwhile, Goa Pradesh Congress Committee President Girish Chodankar in his condolence message termed Mukherjee as “versatile politician and multi-domain policymaker.”
Chodankar tweeted “@INCGoa expresses its deepest condolences on the passing away of Pranab da, one of the most versatile politician, multi-domain policy maker, encyclopaedia of parliamentary democracy and distinguished #BharatRatna. India will be poorer by his depature.”
