St Cruz: Old Goa police today morning arrested former St Cruz Sarpanch Helen Lourenco for creating public nuisance in the locality where she has been residing.
The lady was arrested this morning after her neighbour Seeta Sardesai complained against her of criminal intimidation and abusing her husband.
Police Sub Inspector Karishma Prabhu arrested Helen under section 341 (Punishment for wrongful restraint), 504 (Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace) and 506 (criminal intimidation) of Indian Penal Code.
The complainant had said that the accused was blocking the entrance of the building and also had restrained her. She has also claimed that complainant pushed her and threatened of dire consequences.
