“The Youth of Goa are joining Goa Forward Party for clean politics and to clean politics,” said Vijai Sardesai in a press meet held today. Sardesai stated that as the local party, GFP always have a place for youngsters who want to play a major role in bringing change in Goa.
Youngsters belonging to the age of 18 to 20 years are in natural support of GFP. They want to participate in social upliftment and be actively involved in Goa’s progress. “The Youths who have joined us today are students who are well-qualified. Two have pursued engineering and some have completed their B.Com and BBA,” said Sardesai.
Sardesai further added that youth are joining GFP out of choice. “No one coerced these youngsters to join the party. They chose to support us. This is commendable because while political parties are recruiting youth on payroll to accumulate votes, GFP has won their hearts and given them a platform to work for Goa,” added Sardesai.
He added that the moral character of politics needs to be transformed. “Politics is serious work and that spark of seriousness can be seen in these youths. GFP has received only three seats but the party is in alliance with Congress. We have made sacrifices in seat sharing for the better future of Goa. GFP in alliance with Congress can uplift Goa,” said Sardesai.
He stated that Goans have witnessed how the BJP has announced tickets for corrupt politicians. “Change is required in governance. Corruption cases, criminalization in politics, all are multiplying rapidly. Family Raj is promoted and recognition denied to loyal workers in politics. This has to end”. Sardesai opined. They are taking the fight o the corrupt and communal BJP.
Arab Khan , one of the youngsters who joined GFP, announced that he willingly decided to join and support the local party to transform Goa. “Sardesai sir and his party have inspired us. GFP has given us a voice to speak against injustice. He is the only person who gave us a chance to speak for ourselves, to speak for our Goa,” he said.
Arab said that in the current situation, youths are either seen standing in a queue or sitting on the roads unemployed. “This is what the current government has offered us. We wish to join politics and sir Sardesai is the only one who inspires us to go forward. The only one who allows us to speak, and the only one who can make our future bright.
Arab stated that the BJP has its politics revolving around their families. “Where do we go?,” he questioned. He believes that GFP has given them an opportunity to join politics and develop Goa.
“We wish that Sardesai sir takes a hat-trick victory this year,” said Arab. He decided to support the party as he has witnessed the developments that have taken place in Fatorda, and the support he gets from everywhere in Goa. “I would say that developments have taken place in Fatorda, but in entire Goa is praising the efforts of Sardesai sir. We wish to do the same in future,” he said.
