Panaji: The Entertainment Society of Goa, the state run body, is on look out for 250 acres of land in the coastal state to set up the film city.
The Chief Executive Officer of the ESG, in an advertisement issued on Wednesday, has sought 250 acres of the land from private parties for setting up of an infrastructure for Film and Entertainment Industry, that is film city.
“Government of Goa through the Entertainment Society of Goa intends to setup an infrastructure for Film and Entertainment Industry i.e. Film city in the State of Goa. Required area is 250 acres approx,” reads the advertisement.
The ESG has said that Interested parties having area of 250 acres with clear title are invited to approach the Office of OSD to ESG/Officer.
ESG is a state run body which hosts International Film Festival of India annually in the state. The body headed by chief minister Pramod Sawant is also a nodal agency for all the permissions for film shootings in the state.
