Panaji: The Goa leg of elections for the crucial post of All India Congress Committee President began in Panaji on Monday.
Goa Pradesh Congress Committee President Amit Patkar was amongst the first voters to cast his vote for the poll.
After voting, Patkar tweeted “Great feeling to cast my vote as delegate of @INCGoa from Curchorem constituency for the electiosn of President of @INCIndia. I am sure that the Congress party will emerge stronger under the new National President across India.”
As of 11 am, around 50 per cent out of total 31 voters in the state had polled their votes, a senior party official said.
