Valpoi, Goa – In a thrilling conclusion to the Junior Football League-3, Earthen Pot Gaur’s, owned by Sayyad Sarfaraz, emerged as the champions. The tournament, organized by the Valpoi Development Centre in association with Phoenix Sports Club, was held at the Municipal Ground in Valpoi.
The final match saw Earthen Pot Gaur’s defeating Swayam Tigers, showcasing the team’s skill and determination. The event was not only about the football; it also recognized the achievements of meritorious students and sports personalities.
Honoring Excellence
The ceremony included a special segment to honor SSC/HSSC students for their academic achievements and eminent sports personalities for their contributions. The awards were presented by Ramdas Shirodkar, Vice-Chairperson of Valpoi Municipal Council. The event was attended by several dignitaries, including council members Idris Shaikh, Vinod Haldankar, Vacciyudin Sayyad, Sharafat Khan, and Shaizin Shaikh.
Also present were GFDC consultative members Nasir Khan, Nagina Khan, and Inus Aga, along with President of United Education Society Yasmin Aga, Samir Shaikh, and Jayant Varak. The recognition of both academic and sports excellence highlighted the community’s commitment to nurturing talent in all fields.
